Well my first day back from a fun but difficult training session. Some of you are wondering why December 29th of this year. Well I thought if I train before the new year it would be a easy transition. I thought that no new year resolution would be needed. Do New Years resolutions really work? I guess for some but for me I am going to do this my way. Well anyway last night I stretched and drank plenty of water for today's training session. My clients looked at me with a smile and said welcome to our world of fun and excitement and pain. Something was telling me that they meant it in another way. I'll have to figure that another day for now I must focus on me and completing my workout assignment with my former Track Coach who is a U.S. Marine and a Psychologist. Some of you may find a little humor in this but for my clients don't laugh for whatever I am doing you will to. We all will benefit from this magnificent experiment. My coach looked at me not as a friend but a client. I said coach what are you doing after this? He looked and said nothing. I quickly reminded him that this is no longer a world class workout session. He looked and said nothing from that moment forward I realized I was in for something incredible. (pain)
We started of with squats, leg press, shoulders, and a really great mid-section routine that has my stomach muscles burning at this moment.
You know me I built a list of safety items that I must follow in order not to get hurt. Here is a important list of safety rules we all must do when starting an exercise routine. They are as follows:
1. Get plenty of rest.
2. Don't pile on extra weight.
3. Keep a daily training diary.
4. Learn proper training technique or consult with a trainer.
5. Stretch daily
6. Drink lots of water and increase your vegetable in take.
7. Use equipment appropriate to your size. Make adjustments for comfort
8. Start a exercise training program that is tailored made for you.
9. If you experience shortness of breath or feeling dizzy STOP
10. Listen to your body it is the true expert.
