Physical activity is a must and here are some ways you can stay on track for the new year.
1. Squeeze in a few minutes in the day. Walking briskly around the block or a park is a good way to burn those unwanted calories.
2. Park a few blocks away and power walk to your destination. People will notice and support you because physical action will have co-workers talking about how good you look. The key is to keep a journal or log and chart your progress. In a few weeks you will have made a significance gain in your workout.
3. Call someone for support. Your friends will either join you or give you a strong pep talk to keep you on track.
4. Workout in the mornings a lot of times we are too tired after work and we don't want to make excuses because it is important that you stay focused and committed.
5. Whatever you do please do not get down on yourself. Its crucial that you build self-esteem and momentum.
Create some positive statements and chant them during exercise it will give you motivation and confidence.
6. If you get bored vary the routine. Home videos, walking clubs, the gym, or a recreation center all are great. You can purchase a bike, put it on the back of your vehicle and drive to beautiful place to observe nature. Remember keep things simple and you will reduce stress levels and burn those unwanted calories.
7. Keep a pair of jogging shoes in your car or at work. You don't to be in a situation where you may utter those words "If I had my shoes with me I can walk." Stay prepared for this will help you in your exercise journey. One of my clients used to keep roller blades in her car and right after work she would participate in a fun exercise activity while burning calories and building her endurance.
Remember keep up the good work!!!
