Fitness Program

A lot of people always ask me how do you start a real fitness program. I feel in order to start anything you must have a plan. The second ask for support from family and friends. Let them know you are on a fitness plan and you will need some support.

Start off by working out one day per week and make sure that you choose a fun exercise activity. This will help you stay on your program. A brisk walking program is easy to design.

Keep a journal everytime you have a session. Log in exactly what you are doing for that day. If your walk time is 20 minutes write it down. Place a visual marking so that you can measure your distance. For, example this could be a bench, tree or landmark.

What I like about visual markings is that over a period of time you can see your progress and that is very motivating.

You could always seek a trainer but if you cannot afford one the internet has all kinds of start up methods designed for the beginner.

Here are a list of things you can do to stay healthy.

1. Balance your work schedule

2. Make time to workout.

3. Rewire your brain by saying positive affirmations

4. Everytime you accomplish a goal celebrate (new jogging shoes)

5. Eat more healthier foods (whole grains, vegetables, fruit)

6. Focus on your goals

7. Read your journal there is valuable information

8. Communicate with family and friends

9. Learn to say no! Get your workout in then have fun

10. Sometimes expect delays no one is perfect

Remember to start off slow and consistantly build up as you go. Create a jogging club you be surprised just how many people are just like you. Visit a sports shoe store they will have all kinds of free magazines on where to start or join a walking club.
